nursery @baleville
Our staff and volunteers work hard to ensure that your children are not only valued but cherished. We strive to make sure that our childcare experience exceeds your expectations for the care and consideration your children both need and deserve.
Nursery and toddler time is not just about watching children but interacting with them in meaningful and relational ways. At Baleville we include thoughtful activities for your pre-k children that will engage their creative attributes and energies, all with an aim towards relevance in the Christian faith.
Learning is a lifelong process that begins from our earliest experiences with the world and others. Your pre-k children will not only participate in story time, quiet time and recreational fun but will also have a chance to learn something new according to their unique developmental level.
Children 0-3 years old are cared for in the downstairs of the meetinghouse during service. Children 3-7 years stay in the Wilkens Building during service for a time of intentional lessons, recreation and fun. Children 3-7 are picked up and dropped off in upstairs room 201 before and after Sunday morning worship. Please make sure the same parent dropping off a child picks up the child for safety reasons.
Hello parents! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kristina Connors-Snyder and I will be working with your children in the nursery.
A little info about me: I am 40 years old, and I have two children. My son is 18 and my daughter is 8. I miss the young stages! I am a Newton High alumni. I have lived in many NJ towns but I have always liked this area the best, and I somehow knew I would be back. My husband and I bought a home in Newton last year and we are here to stay. My family and I just added a kitten and a puppy to our household. We love animals but I think we will stop there! I love traveling, gardening, reading, shopping, going to movies, dancing, and listening to music. I work a lot, so I try to make the most of my leisure time.
I have always enjoyed working with children and I have done so since I was about 12 years old. First as a mothers helper, then babysitting, nannying, then in preschool settings. I went to Montclair State University straight from NHS and studied to be a preschool teacher. I completed two years. I have done other things but have always come back to jobs that involve working with kids. I just love them! I love their innocence, curiosity and honesty.
My position here at Baleville is the first time I have worked in a church setting but I am really enjoying it. The families that I have met so far are lovely, and I am looking forward to meeting more of you.
Best regards!
